I was born in Portland, went to college at Reed, took my legal education at Cornell, lived in London, Paris, Rome, New York, and in the end came full circle to hang my shingle back in Portland once more. I’ve always been unconventional, and am certainly not the most typical lawyer, but then again the most typical lawyer is not a figure much beloved in our society. I went into law to make a name for myself and help people in the process, not to collect a large paycheck. I prefer the city over the country, the verbal over the visual, the past over the present, the odd over the ordinary, and honor above all else. My interests include writing, film, and immortal fame.
